Welcome to Kanalhuset

On the historic Christianshavn you will find Kanalhuset along the Christianshavn Canal located in the middle of Copenhagen. 300 meters from the Metro and across the bridge from the Royal Theatre, Nyhavn, Amalienborg Castle and the main shopping street Strøget. The building dates back to 1754 and now contains 12 boutique hotel rooms, 14 hotel apartments, large and small meeting rooms a Bar and a restaurant where we serve the meal of the evening every day at 19.00 in Spisestuen.

We are open every day from 7.00  – 22.00 / 24.00 for breakfast, lunch, coffee, dinner and drinks.

Social dining

At Kanalhuset we eat together every day at 19.00 in the dinning room. Our chefs prepare the dinner with seasonal ingredients and an everchanging menu. The meal of the day is served as a social dinner with our neighbors, residents and other guests

We always offer an alternative option for vegetarians if you inform us when you book a table

We recommend that you show up 18.30

Join us for a refreshing morning swim.
After a dip in the canal, we offer a cup of hot coffee, and together we sing a morning song to warm up.
Bring a towel.
