Welcome to Kanalhuset

At Kanalhuset you will find 12 boutique hotel rooms if you are visiting Copenhagen for a couple of days. Lying in the basement beside the canal Kanalhuset is located on the historic island Christianshavn in the middle of Copenhagen. Dating back to the year 1754 Kanalhuset is just one amongst many heritage protected buildings and cobblestone streets that sets the scene for our local neighborhood. Many of the city’s attractions are within walking distance from us and just over the bridge you will find the Royal Theater, Nyhavn, Amalienborg Castle and the main walking street Strøget. Here on Christianshavn you can visit the spiraled church Vor Frelser Kirke (Our Savior’s Church), the Freetown Christiania or stroll around the colorful old houses along the canal. We are just 3 minutes away from Christianshavn Metrostation so you can easily get around Copenhagen and there is also a direct connection to Copenhagen Airport (approximately 20 minutes).

Everything at Kanalhuset has been decorated and hand-selected by EEN – from furniture, cutlery and paintings to color pairings and textiles. All of the furniture has been individually picked out, reupholstered and treated with care to bring out its natural patina and its contribution to the entirety.

Each of our 12 rooms are distinctive with each their own character. All of the rooms come with private bathroom, double bed and wifi.

Parking
We do not have private parking and recommend the public parking areas just outside Kanalhuset. For this we suggest downloading the EasyPark app beforehand. In case of private parking necessities there is a parking garage at Ofelia Plads which is 1,5 km from Kanalhuset. There is charging stations on the corner of Overgaden Oven Vandet/Skt Annæ Gade as well as on Bodenhoff Plads.
